Scuba BCD Care & Maintenance
Extend the Life of Your Buoyancy Control Device
Your BCD is the heart of your buoyancy control system. After diving, rinse both the inside and outside thoroughly with fresh water, paying special attention to the inflator hose and valves. Inflate the bladder partially to ensure complete drainage before storage.
Inspect the straps, buckles, and dump valves regularly for wear. Store your BCD slightly inflated in a cool, dry area to maintain shape and elasticity. Proper care ensures your BCD performs safely dive after dive. π€Ώ
