We operate the TDB centres in this directory. Independent operators are labelled separately and handle their own enquiries and bookings. These listings are not rankings or reports of personal inspections.

The Details Make the Difference

Make the Trip Work for You.

Choose the base, understand the arrival arrangements and make your diving plans specific to the people travelling.

Tioman: Plan an Island Stay

Tioman Dive Buddy and TDB SunBeach are both in Kampung Genting, but they remain separate centre entries with their own listed positions and booking arrangements. Confirm the exact accommodation, meeting point and training plan rather than assuming that nearby locations make every package identical.

For a first Open Water course, explain your water confidence and preferred teaching language early. For an existing certification, describe recent experience and the type of diving you want to do. Ask how study, practical training and transport fit together, and leave enough flexibility if learning or conditions change the schedule.

Terengganu: Check the Mainland Meeting Point

Tenggol Dive Buddy is listed at A’King Jetty in Kuala Dungun. TDB Paka is listed at Rumbia Resort Villa in Paka. Both discuss Tenggol trips, but a shared destination does not establish the same meeting place, accommodation or departure arrangement. Confirm the correct base with the team handling your booking.

The TDB Paka record includes an address note because the agency and operator pages show different unit numbers. We have retained their shared location details and ask visitors to confirm the exact unit. This is more useful than silently choosing one conflicting address and presenting it as settled.

Kapas, Tenggol and Lang Tengah: Compare Island Bases

The island guides bring independently operated centres into the same location browsing. Kapas arrivals use Marang; Lang Tengah journeys are associated with Merang. Check the spelling and your provider’s precise departure instructions before arranging a mainland transfer. For Tenggol, distinguish an island resort from a Dungun or Paka base offering boat trips.

Read the individual profile for its agency designation, operator link and current verification date. A resort may publish both an island address and a mainland office contact. Use the address identified for the dive operation, then ask the team where your own booking meets and how transport connects to the stay.

Semporna: Separate the Town Base From the Island Stay

The Semporna guide covers Scuba Junkie’s town base, Semporna Blue Ocean Dive Centre, Quality Diving Centre and Borneo Speedy Dive. These records identify a Semporna meeting or contact base; they do not imply that every course or dive takes place in town. Scuba Junkie’s Mabul resort is a separate island location.

TDB Semporna appears as Coming Soon, with a link to its operator’s opening updates. No opening date or operational agency designation is asserted. For the other listed centres, confirm the departure point, accommodation and proposed dive area together. An operator mentioning Sipadan does not confirm a permit or place for your travel date.

What to Confirm Before Booking

Ask for the current training and activity options, rental sizes, teaching language and written inclusions. A listing of nitrox or a course does not reserve that service for you. Tell the operator what you need and check the actual arrangement before finalising travel or buying equipment for it.

We operate the existing TDB centres and are developing TDB Semporna, which is marked Coming Soon. Independent businesses are labelled separately. The directory is not a complete survey or ranking of Malaysian diving businesses. Weather, site choice and marine-life sightings vary, so use the source links and practical details to prepare, then obtain current trip information directly from the operator.
