HYPERGEAR
The Hypergear archive contains dry-bag records in 5L, 10L and 20L sizes, alongside a Dry Ezi Sling and X-Flow chest-bag listing. These are different carrying arrangements, not simply four ways to order the same bag. Start with what needs to remain separated from splashes and how you will carry it. A small pouch for essentials has a different job from a bag holding a towel and spare clothes.

Compare the Actual Models
Compare usable space after the closure is secured, along with straps, opening shape and the manufacturer’s stated exposure limits. Do not read the word waterproof as permission to submerge every version. For phones or cameras, consider the protection required by the device as well as the bag. Verify the selected size or pouch model, since mixed listing photographs can show several items together.

Dry Bags
Allow space for the closure rather than treating the full cylinder as usable packing volume. Compare whether the bag will hold only clothes and a towel or a larger group of belongings. Shoulder straps, handles and the opening shape influence access on a crowded boat. Check how the manufacturer says to close and inspect the bag, including any limits on immersion. A flexible dry bag does not add impact protection for a camera or phone. Consider a separate protective system for those items, and avoid assuming that a larger version of the same-looking bag has identical construction or instructions.

Lay out the actual kit you intend to transport before comparing capacities. Long fins, a bulky BCD and fragile mask need different kinds of space, while a regulator may benefit from a separate protective bag. Consider the route from home to the boat: wheels help on suitable ground, but stairs and sand still require lifting. Check handle placement, shoulder straps and empty bag weight. A large litre figure does not tell you whether long equipment fits. Decide how wet and dry items will be separated, then choose a manageable arrangement rather than filling the largest bag available.

Make room for care as well as the purchase. Keep the relevant manual, record the exact model, and establish a rinse, drying and storage routine appropriate to that item. Ask a qualified service provider about equipment that needs inspection or professional servicing. A replacement accessory should solve a clear problem in a setup you already understand.
